In 2026 (that's this year!), I started the Theorhetical Blog in an effort to share my research with the communities I care about. I believe the study of rhetoric is imperative for promoting and preserving a democratic society. Civic education and ethical communication are critical components of interaction in a less-than-just world, and as such, should be accessible to everyone, regardless of institutional affiliation or educational background. 

To quote a dear friend, I am "allergic to gatekeeping," and that includes my own scholarship and intellectual practice. Learning is a deeply social process, and I understand more when I engage my work in a public forum. My hope is that this blog can be a space to articulate my work in connection and collaboration with others, while also functioning as an archive of my own growth as I become a better teacher, writer, and thinker. 

Whether you are a rhetorician by trade or by virtue of your humanity, I am glad you're here. I welcome you to think alongside me as I develop ideas and dream of a meaningful future.
